I like the new Maroon 5 single. Though I think it’s a song you’ll easily get "suya"-nahhh the beat is just awesome so i’ll enjoy it while it lasts. so disco. and just saw the video for it today. i like the art direction and producition design. makes me wanna pull off the suit & bowtie look. its the anti-justin timberlake look hehehe no slim suits & tie. but im no adam levine lookAlike. too bad.

After a couple of weeks wait, I’ve managed to download Bjork’s 6th studio album Volta.  just after its worldwide release last May 7th (philippines not included)

I’ve gotta say that I’m still a bit unnerved by this method of getting tunes. gone were the days when i saved my lunch money just to buy cassette tapes. (yes tapes) then came pirated CDs and now illegal downloads.

i think music is one of the free(est) commodities now.

So back to Bjork. After the release of Medulla she announced that a follow-up album was already in the works. This "in the works" album turned out to be one of her more accessible albums to date. I dont know, for me at least-ok?

I have to agree that getting Timbaland as collaborator was totally not a bad thing. The tracks "Earth Intruders" and "Innocence"  from timbaland are great.

Over all Volta is the kind of album that you can let all ur neighbor’s hear (if you decide to turn to volume up a bit) without getting them scared as opposed to playing Medulla in the middle of the night hehehe.

Its not a concept album such as Vespertine and Medulla. Each track is kinda if not wholly different from the next one.

so listening to Volta from start to finish can be, as with all of bjorks albums, an interesting experience.

The album art and packaging seems very interesting too. from a graphic designer’s point of view all of bjork’s album art doesnt manage to bore.  so i’ll still buy volta when it hits pinoy shelves after an indefinite wait (sigh) just to see the artwork.

Volta is an album that does not disappoint. If your a Bjork fan all the more reason to add this one to your collection.

I love this show!

Its weird that two cable channels carry it. i follow the one on starworld since it airs right after Friday Night Lights, as to watching it on Jack TV which gets in the way of (eeeek) Grey’s Anatomy.

I hope it has more seasons to come, though I am a bit worried of the Alec Baldwin scandal- hope the show’s cast stays intact.
